OUR PHILOSOPHY

Animals also have rights

In the western world it is held that a person or group of persons are more humanitarian in their relations with others when they are more humanitarian with those less fortunate or those who have no means of making themselves heard. In Argentina, on the basis of this concept, the cause for animals, though not a priority,  is raising greater awareness among the public. This awareness, which primarily directed its attention to human rights issues, is now considering animal welfare as well. As was the case with human rights  —which before they became a reality were an idealistic philosophical dream—, animal welfare is still in the dream stage. However, it is time to do something concrete for the rights of these weaker beings.

Public awareness

It has been proven that even in the most developed countries only a few individuals act responsibly in relation to their surrounding environment and only a few of these have acted as a key element in awakening public awareness as to the needs of animals. These groups, appealing to public conscience, emphasize the moral and social need to prevent cruelty to animals. They not only try to improve animal welfare but that of humans too, influencing child education so that children may become caring adults. This is achieved through different animal protection activities and by means of education programs in schools. Animals may also be used as therapy by providing company in old age homes, orphanages, hospitals, hospices, prisons, etc.

Solidarity

All commercial entities and persons who participate in a project related to animal welfare not only serve the community and human beings as a whole, they also improve their own image before society. They will also be the first to sponsor an undertaking of this kind in Argentina and, therefore, will be pioneers in an area that arouses the sensitivity of a large part of the population.
